UAW Monitor Accuses Union Leaders of Obstructing Oversight

The United Auto Workers tried to subvert the efforts of a government watchdog tasked with guarding against corruption, according to a report made public Tuesday.

The report from court-appointed union monitor Neil Barofsky accuses the union of covering up an investigation into misspent cash by a senior union official—along with several other attempts to interfere with the monitor’s oversight.
