Hotel Workers Wanted Union Gone, Bipartisan NLRB Panel Rules

The NLRB’s Democratic chief joined the Republican member who led the board during the Trump administration to sign off on a Long Island hotel’s move to stop recognizing a union as its workers’ bargaining representative.

National Labor Relations Board Chair Lauren McFerran and member John Ring formed a bipartisan majority Tuesday to rule in favor of the Hampton Inn Long Island–Brookhaven. Democratic member Gwynne Wilcox, the third member on the panel, dissented.
