Kellogg Workers at MorningStar Plant Vote Against Unionization

Workers at a Kellogg Co. plant in Ohio voted against unionization, giving the company a reprieve from the wave of labor organization across the US.

The results were confirmed by Lisa Gregory, a representative for the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco, and Grain Millers International Union, known as the <-bsp-bb-link state="{"bbHref":"bbg://securities/0202309D%20US%20Equity","_id":"00000183-7618-db80-a39b-7f5b96140000","_type":"0000016b-944a-dc2b-ab6b-d57ba1cc0000"}">BCTGM. The final vote was 141-82 against forming a union.

The BCTGM filed a petition for representation with the National Labor Relations Board on behalf of workers at the plant <-bsp-bb-link state="{"bbDocId":"RFCDP7DWLU68","_id":"00000183-7618-db80-a39b-7f5b96140001","_type":"0000016b-944a-dc2b-ab6b-d57ba1cc0000"}">in July. The facility, located in Zanesville, Ohio, makes faux meat products under Kellogg’s MorningStar Farms label.
